URGENT: Cancellation of the 2026 Government Link Reception

Dear SGBC Members, Business Owners, and Honored Guests,

Over the last several days, we have been closely monitoring the major winter storm expected to impact Georgia. After consulting with our partners and following the decision by the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) to cancel the Cities United Summit, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2026 Government Link Reception scheduled for January 23rd at the RICE Center in Atlanta.

Out of an abundance of caution for the safety and security of our members and guests—many of whom would be traveling from across the state—we believe this is the most responsible course of action. The predicted wintry precipitation and freezing rain across the Atlanta and North Georgia regions present significant travel concerns.
