Georgia Business Certification Workshop
Conducted by Julian Bailey from the Georgia Department of Administrative Services (DOAS), learn How to do business with the State of Georgia and navigate the new Georgia Business Certification Program launched on January 1 this year.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. This certification is a part of Georgia's Small Business and Supplier Diversity Initiative and a direct response to House Bill (HB) 128 that was signed into law by Governor Brian P. Kemp on April 24, 2023. HB 128 gave the Georgia Department of Administrative Services the authority to expand the current minority business certification program offered by the state and streamline the process for minority-owned, women-owned, and veteran-owned businesses under the state's business certification.

Julian Bailey, Small Business and Supplier Diversity Manager for the Georgia Department of Administrative Services
Julian Andrea Bailey currently serves as the Small Business and Supplier Diversity Manager at the Georgia Department of Administrative Services (DOAS). Bailey is responsible for leading engagements and communications for a statewide Small Business and Supplier Diversity Initiative put in place due to an executive order issued by the Governor. The goal of the Initiative is to make the state of Georgia procurement process easier to access for small businesses with a focus on minority-owned, women-owned, and veteran-owned businesses.
Bailey joined DOAS in 2013 and has established a strong knowledge base in state procurement operations, policies and systems. She has successfully implemented and managed numerous training programs on navigating the procurement process and systems in the state of Georgia. In addition, Bailey oversees the Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certification program. Prior to joining DOAS, Bailey worked with the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Business Center at Georgia Tech’s Enterprise Innovation Institute.
Bailey earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from Howard University, and a Master of Business Administration degree in Management from Troy University. She is a Professional Certified Marketer with the American Marketing Association.
